Double board-certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine, with a focus on preventive care, women’s health, hormone therapy, weight management, and healthy aging.
About Me
Dr. Thivisa Rajagopal is double board-certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. For the past seven years, she has cared for individuals and families throughout the North Country, providing comprehensive, relationship-based care through every stage of adult life.
Her clinical interests include preventive care, chronic disease management, women’s health, perimenopause and menopause care, hormone therapy, weight management, and metabolic health. She takes time to understand each patient’s symptoms, medical history, priorities, and goals before developing a thoughtful and practical care plan.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Rajagopal serves as a medical consultant to St. Lawrence County Public Health, contributing to a special initiative focused on improving nutrition within local schools and supporting healthier outcomes for children in the community.
Dr. Rajagopal believes healthcare should be personal, accessible, and built on trust. At North Core Medical, her goal is to create lasting physician-patient relationships that help people feel informed, supported, and confident in their care.
Why I Co-Founded North Core Medical
“Too many patients have learned to accept rushed visits, unanswered questions, and the feeling that their concerns are not truly being heard. I co-founded North Core Medical to create a place where every patient feels seen, understood, and cared for as a whole person—not simply as a diagnosis or a number on a chart.”
